1. In a large sauté pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the shrimp and salt and pepper to taste. Sauté the shrimp for about 2 minutes or until they turn pink. Turn them over and cook them for about 2 minutes or until they are just cooked through. With a slotted spoon, lift the shrimp from the pan and set them aside.
2. Add the garlic to the pan and cook it, stirring, for about 30 seconds. Reduce the heat and cook it for about 2 minutes or until it is browned. Take care not to let the garlic burn.
